Elementary Computer Teacher

We asked Mr. Badgley…

What is your favorite part about being a teacher?

The favorite part about being a teacher at Liberty is being able to interact with the children. Whether it is teaching about writing or some aspect of developing personal character, I love teaching these children.

What is your favorite thing about Liberty Christian School?

This school, the faculty, staff, students, and parents, is a big family. This is my favorite thing about LCS.

Bio

Chris Badgley was raised in the church but did not realize the need for a savior until he was a teenager. Once he repented of leading a life without Christ as his redeeming Savior, he was baptized in a frozen pond in central Indiana in mid-November 1987, just before his 17th birthday. It was very cold, you can ask Mr. Bob Preston, as he braved the frigid waters to perform the baptism. Chris has been living for God ever since. Whether in high school, in the Army, in college, in seminary, or in the workplace, he has tried to show Christ through his life.

Most importantly, however, is the daily walk of his family. His family knows that this is a lost and dying world that is in desperate need for Christ. It is also known that Christians are called to be lights to this world, so Chris and his family have a goal to live in such a way that brings glory to God. To this end, Chris leads his family in devotions, prayer, and study.

It is his privilege to return to Liberty Christian School as a teacher. Having graduated from LCS in 1989, Chris has always had Liberty on his heart. After serving in the U. S. Army, he earned his B.S. in Social Sciences and an M.A. in Christian Ministries (Discipleship).

Chris has three great, awesome children. Shaiya is a first-grade teacher at Eastside Elementary, Briyah is in 11th grade, and David has just started 2nd grade with Mrs. Girt.
