More About Mrs. Lee
As long as she can remember Darlene Lee wanted to be a school teacher.
So, upon graduating from high school, she set out to achieve her goal. While attending Anderson College ( University), she met her husband, Russell Lee. They were married in 1970 and both attended Ball State University and received a Masters Degree in Education. Her teaching opportunities have included positions at Greenfield Community School Corporation, South Madison School Corporation, St. Mary’s School in Alexandria and Liberty Christian Schools. She says her thirty plus years in education have been rewarding and enjoyable. While at South Madison she established the Pendleton Players, working with high school students in theater. Her passion for theater led her to shape hundreds of children lives for full scaled stage performances. From 2003-2008 she and her husband built, operated and opened Lee’s Theatrical Productions, on 53rd St. in Anderson. This 300 seat capacity auditorium, offered theatrical training for students ages 4-18 while presenting over 50 live stage performances for public viewing as well as performances by Billy Currington, Shelly Wright, and others. Darlene’s 45 years of marriage ended in 2014 with the death of her husband Russell. She is blessed with two lovely children, her son, Chad Lee, wife Susan, daughters Cassidy and Jodi, and her daughter Marcie Greenlee, husband Matt, children Logan and Katie.She lives here in Anderson in the Scarlet Lake Addition (behind Aldi’s) with her adorable dog “Babycakes”.
