What is your favorite part about being the Director of Custodial Services?

My favorite part about being the Director of Custodial Services is I get to serve everyone in the Liberty Christian School Community.

What is your favorite thing about Liberty Christian School?

My favorite thing about Liberty Christian School is we can openly pray with and for each other, openly proclaim the name of Christ and openly Love each other.

Bio

In 1983 Frosyni Douramacos turned 5 years old. Her parents John and Mary Douramacos enrolled her at Liberty Christian School’s pre-k program. Their intent was for Frosyni and her brother Yorgo , who was 1, would attend Liberty Christian School. The next year John lost his job and schooling at Liberty was put on hold. Frosyni returned to Liberty for part of her 8th grade year and all of her 9th. Yorgo attended Liberty from 6th-12th grade. Graduating in 2000. John and Mary were able to send Mary’s niece, Deanna, to Liberty for part of Kindergarten thru 8th grade.

During the children’s schooling at Liberty, Mary volunteered, subbed in the offices, lunchroom, and classrooms. In 2002 Mary was hired to fill the custodial position at the new Hillcrest Campus. Yorgo worked part-time in the custodial department with Mary. Frosyni started working part-time in the custodial department in 2009.

Eventually Mary took over the cleaning on both campuses and was given the title of Director of Custodial Services. Frosyni and Yorgo still work with Mary. Frosyni’s children both attend Liberty. Mary feels privileged to be allowed to substitute teach and substitute as a worker in kids club.

Mary believes that God has called her to be a part of the ministry at Liberty Christian School. She believes in Liberty’s mission and ministry. John and Mary have been married 41 years. They met at Anderson College. John came from Athens Greece and Mary came from Maryland. They settled in Anderson, IN area. They moved to Alexandria, IN in 1984. They still reside in Alexandria.
