We asked Mrs. Cox…
What is your favorite part about being a Teacher?
My favorite part about being a teacher is being able to love and help mold my students each day into the people God would have them become. I love being able to pray with my students on a daily basis and teach them about the love their heavenly Father has for them. I am able to passionately teach my students from a God-centered perspective and impart his truth to them.
What is your favorite thing about Liberty Christian School?
My favorite part about being at Liberty is the community that I have with the students, parents, and faculty and staff. I so appreciate the support in every aspect of my life. I know if I ever need prayer, advice, or even a ride to work my Liberty family is always there for me! I have made lifelong friends here that have truly become a part of my family. I have seen first hand what an impact Liberty has on its students, and love being part of all that Liberty is.
More About Mrs. Cox
Pauline Cox grew up in Utah and moved to Indiana in 2006 with her family. She began college at Ball State University and graduated in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. Her first teaching job was at a Christian School in Delaware, where she taught middle school for two years. God soon called her back to Indiana, however, and she began teaching at Liberty in 2012. Not long after returning to Liberty, she was engaged, and married her husband, Dean, in June of 2013. Together they love to play board games, hike, and go to the movies. They have a dog named Chloe who is a dachshund-yorkie mix, and often comes to visit the students! Mrs. Cox and her husband have attended Ovid Community Church for over 10 years, where she sings on the praise team. Mrs. Cox also enjoys participating in community outreach through various programs at Ovid. She accepted the Lord when she was eight years old and loves to watch how He works in her life, and the lives of those around her. Her favorite verse is 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, of love, and of self-control.” Mrs. Cox comes from a family of educators. Her parents currently live in Austin, TX, where her father is the superintendent of Summit Christian Academy. She has one brother and three sisters, two of whom, graduated from Liberty in 2007. She believes strongly in the cause of Christian education and is constantly studying and taking courses to improve her educational knowledge, as well as more intimately know God’s word.
