The 2008 recipient of the Alumni Hall of Fame Award is 1991 graduate Jason Chappell.
- Jason was born on March 17, 1973 in Anderson,
Indiana.
- A three-sport athlete in baseball, soccer, and basketball, Jason helped lead Liberty's basketball team his junior year to the school's first ACSI state championship appearance.
- During Jason’s senior year he helped lead the school to its first ACSI State Championship and went on to win the Great Lakes Regional where he hit the game winning last second shot.
- After graduating in 1991, Jason went on to get a degree in history from Anderson University where he played tennis and soccer and also basketball for one year at Warner Southern.
- After college Jason worked at Madison County’s Hawthorne House working with many of Anderson's troubled youth.
- Assistant coach for Liberty's Varsity and JV basketball teams where he was a part of Liberty’s 2003 ACSI State Championship team, the school’s first ACSI title since his senior year.
- Athletic Director and Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. By only his third year, Jason helped lead Liberty to another first, in taking them to their first sectional championship appearance in an intense battle against a highly ranked Wes-Del squad lost only in the last few seconds.
- Alum of Liberty who was profoundly impacted by this school, Jason has taken what Liberty gave him in his youth and now imparts it on a daily basis to the school's next generation.
- Jason is an example of Christian character and class on sidelines, earning the respect of players, coaches, and fans alike all around the county.
