After Care Assistants (2 part time positions)

This 12-15 hours a week position is paid hourly at minimum wage, Monday through Friday, 3:00pm-5:00pm. Will assist the After Care Director in providing a safe, nurturing, quality after-school experience for LCS students that remain after dismissal. Experience working with kids of all ages is preferred. Must be willing to drive a People Mover to transport students from the secondary building. 2-4 Part-Time Nurses

The school nurse identifies and treats health disorders among students and provides instruction in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention. The employee must evaluate the physical conditions of students and refer students to appropriate resources as needed. Will manage and coordinate the assigned school's health services program based on requirements established by school division policies, procedures, and protocols, and by local, state and national regulations and statutes.

Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an approved school of nursing program and a nurse’s license through the Indiana State Board of Nursing. These are part-time positions, being paid hourly at $15-$20 per hour depending on credentials.

Elementary Computer Teacher

This full time, salaried position provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of the elementary school’s music program including recruiting, retention, rehearsals, and performances. The choral program is currently made up of an upper elementary auditioned choir, "Lions of Judah". This position will also lead worship each week in Chapel and other events as needed. May also be called on to lead worship (or provide a worship leader) for occasional faculty gatherings. The successful candidate will be able to incorporate different styles of teaching and varied approaches to engage students and assist their learning.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and must be able to demonstrate active membership and involvement in an evangelical local church.

A Bachelor of Music Education or equivalent degree is required. A Master’s degree and/or a valid state teaching certificate are preferred. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Required Skills

  1. Collaborative, engaging, and motivational teaching style
  2. Strong communication skills in both written and oral presentation
  3. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines while demonstrating appropriate flexibility
  4. Well-developed organizational and time-management skills
  5. Ability to recruit and retain talented students for the school’s music groups

Secondary Music Teacher

This part-time, salaried position provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of the secondary school’s choral program including recruiting, retention, rehearsals, and performances. The choral program is currently made up of a middle school choir, a high school non-audition choir, and the auditioned “Varsity Singers.” The Choir Director will also teach and coordinate the "424" Praise Band which leads worship each week in Chapel, school retreats, and other events as needed. May also be called on to lead worship (or provide a worship leader) for occasional faculty gatherings. The successful candidate will be able to incorporate different styles of teaching and varied approaches to engage students and assist their learning.

Secondary Art Teacher

Liberty Christian School is seeking a dynamic licensed art teacher to lead the art department for grades seven through twelve. This is a part-time position at the secondary building teaching middle school art and high school art classes.

Development Director

This part-time position builds relationships internally and externally and provides strategic direction to help LCS grow and succeed financially. Focus on raising funds and creates and implements a development plan that details how LCS solicits donors and identifies funding sources such as grants, in-kind donations, volunteers, events and marketing opportunities.

Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and preferably has nonprofit leadership fundraising experience. Other experience includes, but is not limited to, public relations, prospecting, business development, and negotiation. Persuasive writing, strong verbal communication, and the ability to interact at the executive level are other key qualifications. Applicants must be committed to the school’s mission and vision and intentionally integrate their Christian faith into their work.
