What is your favorite part about being a teacher?

I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students and helping them grow spiritually as well as academically.

I love that LCS is both a Christian ministry and an academically-challenging school.

Bob Helvering is thrilled to join the faculty of Liberty Christian School. His first teaching position was as an English, Speech, and Drama teacher and Director of Drama at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis in 1981 for two years. After a change in careers in which he worked in the Christian music industry he returned to the education field as an Instructional Assistant with Frankton-Lapel Community Schools for seven years, then as a replacement teacher for medical and maternity leaves at Lapel High School and Anderson High School during the last school year. He has also taught at Anderson University as an Adjunct Faculty previously. He and his wonderful wife, Leah, have been married for 32 years and have three children, two grown and one son still at home. As a side note, Leah was in the first 7th-grade class offered at Liberty.
